About Us

Hi, I’m Maxwell! I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and co-host of The Repentance Podcast.

And I’m Riley! I am also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and co-host of The Repentance Podcast.

Why.

There is nothing more frustrating than making the same mistakes over and over again, doing everything you can to change, but making little to no progress.

That’s why we created The Repentance Podcast.

We help sinners understand the repentance process so they can successfully be changed by the power of the Godhead (our Heavenly Father and Mother, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost).

What.

We create MONTHLY PODCAST EPISODES AND BLOG ARTICLES to bring transparency and clarity to the repentance process.

How.

We CONNECT with sinners to understand the most difficult and confusing topics surrounding repentance. Then, we INTERVIEW clergy (ex. bishops, stake presidents, etc.) and professionals to address each topic. Finally, we WRITE a summary of our learnings from each interview and release it on our blog alongside each podcast episode.

We invite you to join us on our journey towards true repentance.

This podcast is something that can guide those seeking help, those giving help and those in between who are leaders (Bishops and Presidents) when the need calls for a decision whether to “keep the counsel in the leaders office” or refer to a professional that shares similar spiritual aspects as to the healing that is needed. I have shared this podcast with church leaders who have this responsibility to care for “the one”. Each has responded with a heartfelt appreciation and even greater emphasis of clarity to the decision making process. The insights shared by Dr. Theriot identify segments, cycles and dynamics of those in the repentance process and those who help with the healing or refer the matter to a professional. This is knowledge that I believe would help almost anybody, but especially those that have the responsibility, care and concern for someone seeking desperately or otherwise to relieve their pain.

Hi, John!

Thank you so much for the endorsement and for sharing the podcast with Church leaders who have the responsibility to care for “the one.” Riley and I could not be happier with your feedback. I thought it would be helpful to include a link to the show notes of Kevin Theriot’s podcast episode for those who haven’t listened to it yet: https://therepentancepodcast.com/2021/09/04/kevin-theriot-the-role-of-a-professional-in-repentance
